The telecommunications sector, encompassing telecom, satellite, commercial space, in-flight and maritime connectivity, VNOs, and related services, has emerged as one of the most dynamic and demanding industries for market entry and operational compliance. Our work with international satellite operators and service providers has included advising on new service offerings, negotiating with DTH service providers and other consumers of satellite services, and making representations to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Department of Telecommunications, and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.

The team's domain expertise extends across the full spectrum of players in this space, including telecom service providers offering voice, data, VPN, and value-added services; telecom and broadcast infrastructure entities such as satellite, cable, DTH, and MSO operators; and digital media companies, app-based communication platforms, and online and video game developers. We also have significant experience representing clients before TRAI, the appellate body, MEITY, various state High Courts, and the Supreme Court of India on a wide range of telecom policy matters, and this litigation experience informs the regulatory and transactional advice we provide to clients earlier in their decision-making.
