Presentation on knowing the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act. 2013. The session began with reasons / need for the enactment including reviewing the exhisting law and guidelines laid in the Vishakha judgement passed by the Supreme Court. Therafter, a detail discussion on the provisions of the the Act starting from the definitions, formation of an Internal Complaints Committee and Local Committee, nuances of filing a complaint, procedure and timelines for dealing with a complaint filed before the ICC. For ease of reference, the obligations of an employer under the Act including filing an annual report was highlighted.
